More than hundred years ago one of early jazz elements was music of the marching brass bands. These CDs contain recordings made during a military big bands festival which took place in Moscow in 1996. The album shows that the art to play hot syncopated music with a large brass band is still alive in USA as well as in Russia (Russian jazzmen in military uniform swing sometimes even hotter than famous US Air Forces Big Band!) | |||
